Power kiting is a great introduction into the world of all the other kite sports as well as being great fun in itself

Learning to fly the kite is a very satisfying process and extremely thrilling, you will soon be hooked and wanting to be pulled by a bigger, more powerful kite.

This powerkite course takes you right from the beginning with a short theory session about the wind and weather,equipment, safety and the wind window

Iinitially covering the set up procedure and safety system release -  this releases all the kites power when you let go of the bar, then moving onto the launching, landing and relaunching, bar control and steering the kite within the ‘wind window’

Then fly the small trainer kite away from the ‘powerzone’ you will learn to control the kite and move it around confidently. As you build up your flying skills we can start to introduce the power and pull and really start to have fun!

During the powerkite lessons you will be using small powerkites which are also known as foil or ram air . We have a huge range of sizes from 1.5m to 3.5m allowing us to teach you in nearly any wind condition and always have the correct size kite for your size and for the wind strength - keeping you safe. Our size range gives you the opportunity to use larger, more powerful kites as you progress.  The kites we use are forgiving making your learning curve quicker and more fun!

When you have mastered the kite skill which is 80% of kitesurfing, you can either take up kitesurfing or if you prefer to stick to land based kiting why not try Mountain boarding or kite buggying
