We have a number of kitesurfing courses to suit your budget and ability, typically a zero to hero course consists of 4 x 3hr lesson done over 2-3 days depending on wind,  the first 3hrs (discovery lesson) can be 2-4 students with 1 instructor, after that it is generally 2:1 for rest of course using multiple kites and boards. All Equipment is provided for your lesson including the latest 2018 kites, boards, harnesses and wetsuits

Session 1  Discovery 1/2 day course

Discover course is designed to elevate your water sports experience! The IKO Kiteboarding programs are designed to help you learn in a safe way. Our IKO instructor will respect your rhythm and take you through all the steps to reach your goals, During this lesson you will learn

  • Know safe wind directions and conditions for kiting
  • Know hazards on a spot Set up a trainer kite
  • Know the use of safety systems
  • Basic flying skills with trainer kite
  • twist and untwist the lines while flying the kite
  • Launch and land the trainer kite with an assistant.
  • Walk and change directions while flying the kite,
  • know the wind window
  • Pre- flight check equipment and settings In flight check equipment and settings Understand and -Use the international communication signals
  • Launch and land the kite to an assistant and as an assistant (4/5-line de-power kite)
  • Carry and handle the kite properly.
  • Assist with launch of LEI kite.
  • Control the LEI kite hooked into the harness.
  • Your first bodydrag downwind in waist deep water

      Session 2 ( Waterbased)

  • Continuing on from Discovery course
  • Independent setup of LEI kite with supervision.
  • Assist with launch of kite.
  • Control the LEI kite hooked into the harness.
  • Water re-launch the kite.
  • Body drag downwind again
  • Directional Bodydrag
  • Upwind Bodydrag
  • Holding kite with one hand at edge of wind window
  • If times permits we will introduce the board

  Session 3 (Advanced bodydrag & boardstarts)


  • Continuation of session 2, downwind body drag, water re-launch etc.
  • Walking upwind with kite controlling the kite with one hand.
  • Upwind body drag with LEI kite to recover board.
  • rest of lesson you are practicing your board starts

Session 4 (board starts first board ride)

  • Theory of water start; kite, board and body position
  • Can put the board on the feet and maintain correct position for water start.
  • Water start in both directions.
  • Come to a controlled stop.
  • Determine the wind strength, direction and quality.
  • Right of way rules.
  • Equipment setup and choice according to the weather conditions.
  • Exit the water independently and safely while controlling the kite.
  • Launch & land the kite to an assistant.
