Upcoming trip January 2021

Every January we bring complete beginners to well seasoned Kiters to Sri Lanka which has amazing wind conditions for beginners to advance riders , The country is dotted with huge serene stone Buddhas, multicolored Hindu Temples and stately Mosques, but most of all the best lagoons to kitesurf in the world

We run our trips to a large lagoon near to a small town in Sri Lanka’s north west called Kalpitiya for complete beginners to advanced kitesurfers. To get there you first leave the capital Colombo on a motorway, which turns into a rural road, then a dirt track and finally just a stretch of sand. At the end of all this you’ll find a little kite centre sitting between our lagoon and an empty stretch of Indian Ocean beach.
Every day from morning til night will revolve around kiting and yoga, and in Kalpitiya’s flat water and steady winds progression will be quick.

The setting is beautiful and ideal for kitesurfing. The lagoon sits only 100 meters from the Ocean so that the wind comes clean from the sea, while the water in the Lagoon is blocked by a small dune – meaning the wind doesn’t get a chance to churn up the lagoon’s lake-flat water.
Sri Lanka has two windy Seasons: May to September and December to March. Many of the big names in kitesurfing are hailing Kalpitiya as a future kite-mecca with the world’s most reliable winds – and judging by the daily breeze hitting 18 – 25 knots almost without fail…

If you’re looking for nightclubs this might not be the spot for you, but during the season there are plenty of kiters from all over the world staying in the camp which has thr best bar and staff in Kalpitiya . Plus we’ll be a 12 people strong group and beers are available in our little kiting outpost.
