Yoga is a great activity for all ages, not only does it excersise the body but also focuses on the mind.
Regular yoga strengthens the muscles, and makes you more flexible, so you are less likely to injure yourself while kitesurfing or doing any other type of sports. Simply because you are able to move more freely.
During yoga practise you learn to become more body-mind aware, and know the limits of your own body better. While daily life is becoming more and more about technology, we need to make sure our bodies can keep up!
